We took on our first assignment for the online magazine, dapperQ, back in 2017. dapperQ is “…one of the worlds most widely read digital queer style magazines and is a preeminent voice in queer fashion and beauty. We inspire people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender presentations to think differently about both queer fashion and beauty as art and visual activism, and ultimately have a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with style.” Though Caroline and I don’t see ourselves as leaders in queer fashion and beauty, their travel section is a natural fit for us and we’ve been sharing our creative efforts with dapperQ’s audience pro bono ever since, having created guides for them from all across the United States. Our most recent adventure took place in Greenville, SC.
Love Moves Campaign With Brooks Running
We often share about our love for one another and our love for running so when Brooks Running approached us about teaming up with them for their LGBTQ campaign called Love Moves, we jumped at the opportunity because it truly felt like a good fit. We worked with them to help create content in the form of two separate Instagram Reels and Carousels. The Reel we made that went on their channel was viewed 45,000 times in one week. This project aligned with our values and was also a lot of fun to produce.
LGBTQ+ Safe Spaces in Asheville
We are out and proud about being together and had the opportunity to share about our favorite LGBTQ+ safe spaces in Asheville! It was a fun project that allowed us to work with and we loved highlighting other members of our community as well as local businesses who are truly trying to make a positive impact for the queer community in Asheville.
